Standard Plan   £150 for print and e-book

Your prose manuscript is:

• completely ready except for the basic formatting needed to create uploadable files
• has no internal images (except reader magnets and author face image)
• desired front and back matter is largely prepared (dedication, acknowledgements, about the author, reader magnets)

Then we will:

• format your manuscript attractively for print
• format your manuscript with proper settings for e-book
• ensure your e-book has an NCX table of contents

You will be sent:

• the final .docx files of print and e-book versions
• the final .pdf files (for upload of print book to Amazon)
• the final .kpf/kindle files (for upload of e-book to Amazon)
• .epub files if desired (for non-Amazon e-books)

You also get 3 revisions if, for example, if you discover late errors in the text or small changes to the formatting you'd like to have corrected.

Premium Plan   £1400

If your manuscript:

• is prose or poetry (contact me for requests on technical or image-heavy books)
• is 300 to 600 pages
• may have special requirements for images

Then we will:

• format your manuscript attractively for print in the book size you want
• format your manuscript with proper settings for e-book
• ensure any images are inserted and printing as and where desired for print and e-book
• add any desired flourishes such as for chapter headings, scene breaks, or drop-cap at the beginning of chapters
• ensure your e-book has an NCX table of contents
• provide you with all necessary upload files (and upload if desired)
• create an attractive cover (front + wraparound)
• guide you through account creation and upload to publication
• produce attractive 3D social media book cover images
• create a basic press kit
• guide you through book promotion fundamentals

You will be sent:

• the final .docx files of print and e-book versions
• the final .pdf files (for upload of print book to Amazon)
• the final .kpf/kindle files (for upload of e-book to Amazon)
• full and web-sized jpg and png cover files, and pdf versions of cover files
• files for press kit

You also get:

• zoom calls of up to 60 min each to clarify any issues or questions you may have
• unlimited revisions if, for example, the first version isn't to your liking, you'd like to change flourishes or tweak formatting, or if you discover late errors in the text you'd like to have corrected.

Upload Assistance   £100

We will assist you through the process of uploading your print and e-books to:

• Kindle Direct Publishing (Amazon)
• IngramSpark
• Draft2Digital

This can be in person, but is typically via Zoom. We will work with you until your book is successful uploaded and published via the selected services.

You must already have an account with the selected service(s) and have completed the tax information.

Currently, all consultations are done online through Zoom.us. Prior to engaging with you as a new client, we will provide a free 60-minute consultation to assess your needs and whether we are positioned to meet your requirements.

If you're local (Harrogate, UK), we also have a free Book Doctor at the local library Mondays from 12-1:30.

Cover Design £50

We can do cover designs for any books, whether we publish them or not. Examples of our work can be found on our Books page or on our sister site LightSpeedDreams.net.

For this service, we supply a free 30 minutes consultation via Zoom to discuss your needs.

At a minimum we require a synopsis of the book, the genre it falls in, a back blurb, the title and author name, the book dimensions, and the number of pages (as well as whether they are white or cream).

It's also helpful to know which platform you are uploading to, as some have different requirements.

For e-book covers, we do not require any book size information.

Website Design    £100-£400

If you're an author in need of an attractive website, we can help.

An author website is your own home on the internet where fans can find you, where you can post regular musing, story additions, or updates. And where you can build an e-mail list.

We can design an attractive author website for you based on either Google Sites, WordPress or Wix. Depending on which host you choose, there will be various monthly/yearly fees in addition (not paid to us) such as domain name (£8-£20/year), and hosting (starting at £3/mo for WordPress and £16/mo for Wix, Google sites has no hosting cost).

Full Tech Management

We are considering developing a service to manage the tech side of our author's businesses for a monthly fee.

This would include things like:

• book uploads
• account management with KDP, IngramSpark, etc.
• website management and updates

Extras might include:

• social media image creation
• contacting media outlets for interviews or sending small written pieces to newspapers
